What I Look For

I was one of the lucky ones and grew up traveling by means of the next antique shop destination. I'm always on the hunt for the unusual, either in the design of the piece or the item itself. I'm drawn to anything from lovely old books to fabulous textiles to funky pieces of metal and wonderful jewelry.

The antique/collectible world is ever changing and my hope is you will delight in these pieces as much as I do.

Area of Expertise

I am particularly drawn to Asian designs and have a history with Chinese textiles. I have worked many years with a local gallery (Haig's of Rochester) doing restoration and stabilization of Dragon Robes and panels that have dated back as far as the Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644. I am also enamored with Japanese kimono and obi and other world textiles including African Asoke and American quilts.

I love the sensation of discovery whether in designing my artwork and jewelry or traipsing through interesting venues or traveling the world.
